Serpa Construction Company started in 1988 specializing in custom homes and renovations. In 1999 we formed our company into Serpa Construction LLC. We pride ourselves on our ability to create the home of our client’s dreams. We work closely with the client and design team to bring the project in on time and within budget.
Our company stays involved during all phases of the construction process. One brother is in charge of the office and coordination between the owner and design team with respect to the budgeting and scheduling of the project. The other brother is on the construction site acting as the project manager and lead carpenter. We frame and finish our own projects in order to uphold our high standards of detail. Sub-contractors are supervised from the beginning of the project to ensure proper installations and to avoid any unforeseen or conflicting conditions. Job site cleanliness and positive working conditions help ensure a smooth running project.
We are a company who has many dependable resources to draw from during our projects. Our own team consists of many talented craftsmen whom have been with us for many years. We draw upon our many business connections to ensure we get the best pricing and quality for your home. We have a solid reputation as an honest and committed construction company on Martha’s Vineyard. We have helped represent our clients who must go before various town boards during the permitting process.
We work well with the local building inspectors as well as other Boards that may have an interest in the project. At the onset of the project, we create a working schedule and comprehensive budget by working closely with the owners and design team. This schedule and budget become the framework to ensure that the home is built on time and within budget. Communication is the most important element in keeping all parties informed and working well together until the end of the project.

I was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard and lived in Edgartown until1993. I attended classes at the University of Massachusetts until 1987. I returned home to begin working with my brother in construction. I got married in 1992 and built my home in West Tisbury where I now reside. My wife, Kimberly works as an assistant to the Treasurer of Tisbury. My children Caitlin and Christopher attended the local school and current off to college.
I have always loved living on Martha’s Vineyard and take great pride in being a member of the community. I enjoy traveling and attending the many activities of my children.

I was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard and have lived in Edgartown my whole life. I attended the University of Massachusetts and received a degree in civil engineering in December 1983. I began working in construction during the summer and winter breaks during college to help pay for my education. My love of building has kept me there ever since. I built my own home in Edgartown in 1991 where I reside with my wife and two sons, Joseph and Daniel. My wife Lauren moved to Martha’s Vineyard from Duxbury, MA and has been a teacher at the West Tisbury School since graduating from Wheelock College.
My family has strong roots in the community, especially in Edgartown where my mother has sat on the Edgartown Zoning Board and currently sits on the Board of Selectmen.
